Surgery For Men

Cosmetic surgery has become increasingly popular among men. Almost any procedure that is performed for women be it for body contouring such as liposuction and tummy tucks, or for facial rejuvenation, such as the facelift, browlift, eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty can be performed on men as well. Slight modifications may be necessary in order to keep the masculine features.

Another popular procedure performed on men is male breast reduction. Gynecomastia is the enlargement of the male breasts due to excessive fatty or glandular tissue. This is a fairly common condition in adolescent boys. Although the symptoms fade for most in adulthood, they persist in a few. In cases of obesity, weight loss may help but for many others, surgery is the most effective alternative. This procedure generally involves liposuction but may include glandular excision as well. Incision sites heal nicely and are hardly noticeable. This surgery is usually performed under either local or general anesthesia.
